1. How is business value determined? Is it through SWAT analysis?
Business value, as suggested by Wikipedia, is all forms of value that determines the well-being of the firm in the long run and goes beyond the economic value. The components are as follows:

  • Shareholder value
  • Customer value
  • Employee knowledge
  • Channel partner value
  • Supplier value
  • Managerial value
  • Societal value

2. Who and what determines the health and well-being of the firm in the long run? Will it be change of company strategy or SWOT?
Business value determines the well-being of the firm in the long run. The components and the tool for measuring business value is as discussed in Question 1. The balance scorecard can be linked to strategy maps, which eventually leads to modifications of the organizations strategy.
