I have over 7+ years of experience and working as a senior software engineer. I have been contributing significantly to the project I am working by preparing design documents, preparing schedules for modules am working on, doing RCA and documenting lessons learnt. I have been also involved in document reviews, code reviews and also have done config manager tasks. I am I eligible to take PMP even though I did not work as a Project Manager or should I go for CAPM certification? Please advice.

I would go for your PMP. will do more for you if you stay in the software industry or not.
