Represents incremental or evolutionary change. When beyond departmental, change tentacles easily identifiable. Examples include improvement to existing systems and processes. Duration 2-3 months. Supported by one organizational change expert on part-time basis.

Represents opportunistic change. Change at business unit level or organization-wide. Examples include new systems, new product development, small mergers and new markets. Duration less than 1 year. Change Management more formal with team of 3-7.

Represents transformational or revolutionary change. Often driven by COE. Examples include restructuring, large mergers or acquisitions, and major changes to the core business or the way it is done. Duration 2 to many years. Change Management Team(s) 12 – 30 people.
