Use the project management software calculator from the following link http://www.valleyspeak.com/index.php/product/project-management-software-cost-calculator to calculate your project management software cost.

1. Advantages of planning and why? The project plan: Describes the objectives of the project and how those objectives will be reached. ADVANTAGES OF PLANNING: I. Planning better defines the course of action that we propose to undertake. II. Planning gives a rough estimate of the time required for a project. III. Planning gives us a fairly good idea about the expenses involved in the project. In fact a budget is only a financial plan. IV. Planning helps us to get prepared for emergencies that may arise during the course of the project. V. A well thought out plan gives us a clear idea about want is to be done every day, every week and every month. VI. Planning helps avoid duplication of labor. VII. A plan gives everyone a clear idea of their respective role in the project. WHY PLANNING? I. To give a clear understanding to the project members about the project objectives and scopes. II. To complete the project within the planned time. III. To avoid the project cost becomes exceed from the estimated cost. IV. To list down the priority of the project so the project can be done within the period.

I have tried @task - it's intuitive and their new version called @task Enterprise lacks the bloat and complexity of other solutions. Pretty cost-effective compared to other on-demand PPM products. There's a good third-party review of AtTask's new product if you have doubts on TopTenREVIEWS' web site recently ... very helpful in making a final decision.

Project management is very effective, especially with some good software. Have any of you guys ever tried @task? (attask.com) They just unveiled their latest version with a cap planner. Their software help manage your resources in a very easy, efficient manner.
