August 10, 2018 | 56:04 | Views: 98,874 | PDUs: 1.00 | Rating: 4.39 / 5

This workshop is based on a global survey (>3400), consisting of ten scenarios describing common ethical quandaries and the response that respondents made. Demographic Questions were also included. Participants will have the option to participate by using the polling feature to respond to these situations and observe the ways in which diversity influenced their decisions. Participants will understand the relationship between values, ethics and decision making and recognize the impact that ethnicity, culture and other sociodemographic characteristics have in decisions on ethical issues.

The Role of Design in Agile Projects

by Scott Bain
September 19, 2023 | 61:20 | Views: 40,665 | PDUs: 1.00 | Rating: 4.67 / 5

In the systems development traditions of the past, most people adhered to the concept that development should be done in discrete phases. These were typically sequential: analysis, design, implementation, and testing, often referred to as "the waterfall". Agile processes reject this notion almost entirely, and so one question that often arises is: if there is no design "phase", when does design happen? Is there a role for design in an agile process? This webinar will address this question and introduce the concept of an "emergent" design process. This will be an overview, with no technical knowledge or experience required.

The importance of governance in Portfolios, Programs, and Projects (3P) is reflected in part by the development of standards for governance (PMI, 2016) as well as by the increasing attention being paid to governance in management/academic literature, and in practice. At the same time, organizations increasingly aim to improve their innovation capabilities, enabling them to survive in today’s dynamic, competitive environment. However, there is little guidance in research literature on whether and how 3P governance can be designed to support and promote innovation. The escalating importance of project delivery in organizations, especially for innovation, further highlights the need for better understanding of the relationship between governance, innovation, and success in 3P.
