Scrum Alliance Launches Training Program
The new Added Qualifications certificate-based program will provide training in more advanced, business-critical topics, starting with Scaling Scrum Fundamentals.
Scrum Alliance has launched a certificate-based training program for its global community of more than 350,000 members. Designed to help Scrum practitioners add more depth to their expertise and demonstrate to employers their additional knowledge in a particular area, the new Added Qualifications program will cover complex, business-critical topics.
“We collaborated with a committee of Scrum trainers and coaches from around the world to be certain the new Added Qualifications program is aligned with what the community wants,” said Scrum Alliance managing director Carol McEwan.
The program will begin by first offering courses in Scaling Scrum Fundamentals. Those interested in earning an Added Qualification in Scaling Scrum Fundamentals will need to hold at least one of two foundational certifications, Certified ScrumMaster or Certified Scrum Product Owner, and will validate their knowledge with a corresponding online test.
“We strongly believe this is the answer to a gap in training between basic Scrum courses and more advanced Scrum topics,” McEwan said. “Scaling Scrum is just the first in a long line of Added Qualifications to come.”
