Staying On Top of Strategic Initiatives
The challenges of business have continued to increase and have reached levels not seen before. One of those challenges is, as always, competition—which has reached an unprecedented level. It is truly global and at an all-time high—and nothing seems to indicate it will decrease any time soon.
Emerging technologies are appearing frequently, blindsiding many organizations. In fact, most believe the challenges to business will increase at an accelerated pace as we move to integrate the $40+ trillion USD market of 12 rapidly emerging technologies. With all of this taking place today, for an organization to survive it must adapt in days and weeks, not months and years.
Companies of every size are embarking on strategic initiatives that create the next iteration of their organization. These are being designed so that they can rapidly achieve competitive parity at a minimum. Some aspire to create and maintain a competitive advantage in this highly dynamic environment.
All of this is a prescription for the dramatic growth of program management activities in nearly every industry—and within most organizations.
