The combination of multiple emerging technologies into a solution for businesses is arguably the biggest challenge for program and project managers. The cross-domain implications of this emerging period will increase the number of projects, use of new/emerging technologies, and demand for accelerated delivery and continuous business improvement—all of which will only increase the demand for program and project management resources.
That is a demand that far exceeds the current availability of resources, as well as exceeding the projected growth in the number of program and project management professionals.
By nearly every account and report, the German economy has begun to lose steam. While there are a few elements that are contributing to the loss, the fact that skilled workers are in short supply is clearly a limiting factor to the country’s growth prospects. Germany is not the only country that finds itself in a human resources shortage. It is clear that this is a global issue that is not going away any time soon.
