By a longitudinal study of a construction company, this research tries to uncover overall change management processes in such organizations and discuss advantages and considerations for applying improvement approaches. Review of different Maturity Models’ elements along with findings of the case study demonstrate that Maturity Models provide organizations with systematic approaches for identifying and implementing changes and increases the effectiveness of improvement actions. However, it is shown that general considerations and challenges of change management practices are needed to be addressed for ensuring the effectiveness of Maturity Models
