I am currently in the process of looking for a Construction Project Management software and would appreciate any recommendations or experiences with either Projectmates or Procore for a municipal government capital program. Saving Changes...
I enjoy Procore and find that its ability to work with (and even educate) outside entities such as vendors, subcontractors, other GCs is really delightful in so far as bidding, transmittals, submittals, insurance, drawings, & photos go.
I am told, however, that its key failure is not having appropriate scheduling software (you can import from Primavera, MS Project and other scheduling softwares, but it doesn't have the ability to initiate scheduling). So this is a critical flaw in my limited experience.

And then there's a whole list of Construction Financials that we don't even use, but which has integration capabilities with innumerable accounting softwares (kudos to Procore on that front).
If your field personnel have site trailers or internet-enabled tablets where data can be input in real-time, it's a life-saver of a platform that keeps everyone on the same page. Again, I love the software, but there are integrations that need to be handled that can be cumbersome, and if you don't have sufficient staff to aide in the administrative end of things, you won't get far.
