I have seen people who are so much engrossed in office work and due to this so called burden they are discounted or not involve in most of the activities at home. They exploit this undue privilege and dodge home affairs.
I observed an interesting phenomenon; you cannot be a different person at home and at office. If you are sincere at home you will be at office, if you try new things at home you will dare to take challenging jobs at office. If you are committed and dutiful at home, you will follow same at work place as well. This is the reason why most of the women are better at place of work because they understand responsibility and contribute at home.
We are happier when we excel. The sense of satisfaction is best motivator and gives immense pleasure. We always try to learn new tools and techniques to improve our professional proficiency. We can see our homes as a laboratory to prepare us for greater assignments.
So if you want to improve you effectiveness at work, start taking greater responsibilities at home. While writing this I am planning to cook today and improve my cooking thereafter, this is something I never did at home.
Right Manish, similar thoughts.
I suggest a book Catalyst by Chandramouli Venkatesan, he articulates very well “the impact of work on life is low compared to the impact of life on work”. Saving Changes...
I agree with your opinion, Manish.
In reality, work and home lives offer different challenges and expectations. Not everyone feels work is where they need to step away from their true self and at home they may be quieter, more cautious and show an introverted version. Saving Changes...
