I would like to locate an online or other study group in my area- and by the way, My local chapter does NOT support any study groups.. I am willing to look for a virtual group-- i just don't know where to find one

Hi Tricia. Have you checked with the local PMI chapter in your area for a study group? Some will sponsor study groups for at an affordable cost for members. Good luck.

Hello Marla-
as a matter of fact, that was the first thing I did, and the Chapter said they did not support study groups-- I just don't know where to turn to.

Also, try meetup.com. From the aspect of bouncing back, take what you learned from this experience - types of questions, testing center, staying focused over 4-hrs, etc. - as well as focus on the areas that came back as the weak sections.

I think is a good choice to be part of an online community. some of the software for simulating exams offers online communities.

I did hundreds of questions on the online exam simulators, and paid for an expensive bootcamp

Hi Tricia , try PM Prepcast , reading the PMBOk guide twice from cover to cover and the Rita Mulcahy Book....these three helped me pass the exam with flying colors. And yes , i also took a face to face instructor led course for 5 days for important tips

Hi Tricia, My suggestion would be individual study would prepare you better because there are so many materials online to study. And be careful with the chapters they have in it. because PMBOK has been revised. You can refer to Rita Mulachy book but again version matters. Lot of you tube videos might also help. All the very best. you are going to complete it sucessfully very soon.

Tricia, sorry to hear to failed the exam but do not get discouraged. There are lots of study groups on Facebook and LinkedIn, check it out and you will certainly find many.

Hi Tricia, I agree with Deepesh that the Rita Mulcahy book is the best study guide. I used others but for me RMC gave me the deepest comprehension I needed for the exam. Their exam simulator was closest to the actual exam in my experience.
