Have patience. There are a lot of CSM jobs out there, but they all want experience if they can find it. You'll probably have more luck with contract positions than with full-time positions. Find some recruiters and work with them, they can help groom you for open positions. In the meantime, try implementing scrum in your current position or as a volunteer, so you can speak to actual experience and not just a certification.

No, I'm not in that area. Sorry. Definitely update your online profiles so they can find you, though.

Allan, I am not familiar with CT/NY Area but PMI local chapter members might be able to give you some guidance on this. I am sure NY have a local chapter.

Congratulations. Certainly, update your resume and LinkedIn page. Highlight those behaviors and accomplishments that relate to Agile and Scrum.
Become active in other communities to offer new learning opportunities. Also, as mentioned, see where you can incorporate what you have learned into your current role.
Good Luck.

Allan -

My current banking client does hire folks into entry-level SM roles with just education (no SM experience) so long as they have sufficient delivery experience (e.g. as PMs or BAs).

You might want to check the large financial institutions in your area to see if they have a similar entry point...

Good luck!
