I had the chance to support (as an agile coach) one team which was using machine learning to get deeper insights into some of the customers of the bank I was consulting with.
From a talent management perspective, the common concerns with AI usage relate to unconscious (or conscious) bias making it a non-level playing field for candidates. For example, if the data set used to train the AI is lacking folks from a given community (e.g. ethnic, gender) the AI might disqualify applicants coming from that community.

Without having read the article you are referring to (I will read for sure) I think respect and ethics in the digital age will be very difficult
Contact between people is impersonal, ie via the internet
Many people take on characters that don't match their true identity.
