PMI Network Magazine usually brings very interesting articles
Does it make sense to discuss these articles within this community?

Usually every month with every new edition of the Network Magazine, PMI Blogs about interesting articles. There is infact a special blog for the PM Network and here is the link:

https://www.projectmanagement.com/blogs/284550/PM-Network

That being said, it doesn't mean if someone finds a very interesting subject, they can't discuss it here. Not everyone reads the magazine so sometimes it is fruitful bringing some interesting subjects to light.

Dear Rami
Thank you for participating in this reflection and for your opinion.

What do you think about the article: "Everyone falls victim to biases"?
For example:

"Everyone falls victim to biases.

Here are four to look out for:

Confirmation Bias: Subconsciously prioritizing lessons learned from past projects.

Groupthink: Following one vocal or authoritative person.

Attribution Bias: Not acknowledging past setbacks as potential risks to the project at hand.

Success Bias: Focusing too much on delivering the project and losing sight of the overall strategy.

Check out pro tips for busting those biases in the November PM Network®:

I like the focus on potential biases that could impact a project and consider these as risk factors.

Including evaluation of the biases in risk assessment helps by taking out emotional discussions that can occur in early phases like defining and planning.

I think discussions here are helpful as not everyone reads all articles
Luis,

I'm always up for an interesting discussion on the latest trends.

I rarely read my copy that arrives in the mail. Nothing much excites me in it, it seems the same run of the mill stuff, nothing much mind boggling, or out of this world (i.e. the Mars project).
