Working Cultures
Working in an airline Engineering Department based in Dubai, I've to deal with suppliers across the globe with vastly different working cultures. I find aerospace supplier PMs from Europe especially in my experience have distinctively confrontational and emotional approach compared to others. Appreciate if you can share any insights on how to deal with this working culture and approach for the success of the projects.

Dear Mahadevan
Very interesting your question
Thanks for sharing
Working with people with different origins, different cultures and accepting, respecting and valuing differences is a path that has only recently been taken

In Mauritius they achieved this

In another perspective: What are 55 years of human history?

We have to be, in a way, multicultural evangelists
Thanks for the pointers, Luis.

Dear Mahadevan
With countries in Europe closing their borders and the USA freezing Europe's flights and goods, chauvinism seems more emerging than multiculturalism
Unfortunately this is the reality

Remember Catherine Aird's quote: “If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.”
Good one, Stephane. Thanks.
Mahadevan,

Culture is always a hard topic because each person is not composed by only one culture but by fragments of several cultures that has experienced in is life time. Sure the culture where we are raised can be predominant but is not mandatory.

1 - No culture is right or wrong are just cultures
2 - A person culture is result of the experience in the cultures that is experienced in is life time
3 - You can not forget about the organization culture and subcultures that exists inside the organization.

A good starting point to understand this is the Lewis Model, you can research about this theme a make cultural assessments about your knowledge on different cultures.

They have a good workshop about how to work effectively across cultures.
