Which is the most influencing factor w.r.t. Quality Assurance?
I created following poll few days back, just wanted to see what people thinks about it. Though the poll is relatively new, I have a clear split of view.
Q: Which is the most influencing factor w.r.t. Quality Assurance:
-Testing method and test coverage (0 votes)
- Process and templates (3 votes)
- Requirement Analysis (0 votes)
- Customer acceptance (4 votes)

Just wanted to know what experts thinks about it. Post your comment, I hope it would be an interesting discussion.

I'd suggest that management support and impacts are likely to be the biggest influencing factor for quality.

Thank you Kiron,
But what would be your choice and reason for that.
All the above is not related to quality assurance, except for process and templates which are just two components you can use. Take a look to quality assurance definition first.

Hello Sergio,
Thank you for your feedback. As this is multiple choice question. Only one answer is expected to be correct or best fit. That is reason I created this as a poll. But when I received different answer than I thought to take it to discussion forum to have others view.
Still if you feel I am not clear then I will have a look again.

if this is an answer for taking the PMP exam then it is unaceptable. PMI keep each years groups that working together to perform quality assurance on questions. So, is not about to be or not to be a multiple choise question. Is about to answer the right question.

A lack of management support means that the organization is just giving "lip service" to quality and is not really interested in making things better. The focus is less on improvement and more on punishing the guilty.

It is not from exam prep. I just created one, for checking how people think about quality assurance.
I agree it may not be the a good draft with given option.

Dear Tarun
Three influencing factors
1)Top Management honest commitement----Master set
2) Robust Quality Policy that shall ensure duely aligned quality management or assurance system
3) Robust Accountabity process for delivering quality
2 and 3 are subsets very important and fall out of Master set

Dear Tarun
If you are expecting the influencing factors to be put in decending order then
My Choice
1)Reqirement analysis --as it is concept level thinking which can affect quality even with slight error in defining the quality requirements--Quality is not only quality of Prodict but of the entire process--as per value engineering at conceptual level or start of the project there is 98 % scope or opportunity for right delivery
2)Customer acceptance--That will get revealed intermittently at review and retrospectives
3)Process and Templates---Need be done with adaptive mind all through
4) Tests--Having ensured assured delivery of the quality ,kind of conformatory tests
This is my view. and Ok with you
