Do We Love Our DADs?
Do We Love Our DADs?

Let's take a look at Dad which is a person’s father and DAD which is Disciplined Agile Delivery.

If your Dad disciplined you there must be a reason for it and he probably wants you to learn some lesson. We love our dad no matter what because he means well.
If you are practicing Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) than you are following one of best Agile frameworks, or now known as the toolkit, which extends Scrum. If you are not familiar what DAD is all about I'll start describing it here and expend in later discussions and let you decide for yourself if you love it. You might love DAD like you love your Dad.

Father's Day (which occurs on third Sunday in June) has been celebrated in Europe in since the Middle Ages. Today in US the Father’s Day is observed annually on the third Sunday in June. This day is set aside to honor the role that fathers play in the family structure and society. The first recorded celebration of Father’s Day happened after the Monograph Mining Disaster, which killed 361 men and left around 1,000 children fatherless in December 1907. In 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation honoring fathers on the third Sunday in June. President Richard Nixon signed into law a permanent national holiday in 1972 over 50 years after Mother’s Day came into existence.
Father’s Day is now celebrated in many countries around the world.

DAD - Disciplined Agile Delivery is the foundation of the Disciplined Agile (DA) toolkit which is a hybrid Agile approach to delivering IT solutions.
DAD extends Scrum by including additional methodologies and practices such as: Agile Modeling (AM), Extreme Programming (XP), Unified Process (UP), Kanban, Lean Software Development, Traditional Software Development, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Enterprise Unified Process (EUP), Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), DevOps, Agile Data (AD), Cynefin, Dynamic System Development Method (DSDM), Feature Driven Development (FDD), Evolutionary Value Delivery (Evo), Outside-In Development (OID) and Crystal Clear.
