Career Advice
Hello! I am looking for suggestions to get into an entry level PM position. I would not be a beginner for long! I am a PMP who has had no *formal* Project Management role. I have, however, been in Information Technology Leadership for over 10 years, have ITIL certifications, and have extensive informal project & change management experience. I have managed all sorts of projects without using the customary tools and precesses and have held a key change management role. I am bilingual (Spanish), and have a plethora of other strong project management skills. I would very much like to get into a Project Management role and would very quickly become an expert, but I need the opportunity. I am currently employed, but am moving to another state. It's a perfect time for me to follow my desired career path. Does anyone have suggestions for roles which I might be considered for and would have room for me to grow as I am an intuitive, flexible, autodidact?

You probably meant that you do not have formal project management role but not experience because obviously with the roles you held, you must have had a decent experience in project management.

As a career coach, given the brief background you provided us with, I would suggest you look for the following roles for starters:

1) Project Coordinator
2) Associate Project Manager

Those roles will not only help you get exposed to all aspect of managing projects but will help you grow fast given your solid background.

Hope this helps.
