Stakeholder management - Suggestion for a good book
Hello PM community,

I am used to keeping nice books that I use as a reference at least for the major part that can still apply in different circumstances (including virtual communications, adaptive or other more or less classical lifecycles).

Can you please share your favorite book on stakeholders?

Thanks

Thank you, Kiron. Got a copy of it :)
Perfect! I think we will have a list of good books soon!
Soha,
there are a lot of good books, and once you start reading and applying what you learned, you will probably want to learn more.

Stakeholder management is about influencing people and before you can do that you have to listen to them. Also, understand that emotions are a key part of relations, so being aware of emotions is all important. I just described emotional intelligence.

As to books, I found good reads
- crucial conversations by Patterson, Grenny et al.
- how to talk so kids will listen .. - Faber, Mazlish
- Switch - Chip and Dan Heath

Hope this helps.

Thanks Thomas, I have this one " how to talk so kids will listen .. - Faber, Mazlish" started 2 years ago but never got the chance to continue it.
Another good and short book is Tom Peter's The Project 50.

Most of the 50 ways to make a project successful are dealing with stakeholder management, even before the project starts!
Take a look to Solution Selling or SPIN Selling selling methods books.
