How Will the USA Presidential Election Affect Project Management Community?

Do you consider the results to be positive or negative for the community. Please do not refer to a particular candidate in the overall political structure (president, senate, etc.)...

Maybe you consider there will be no major change or maybe you consider this is an important moment for Project Management Jobs and Projects in general or you could as well consider this not a very good moment in time for the community.

We are all professionals, be very objective in your comments toward the benefits to the project management community, if any at all.

I think now it will be a demanding profession, Thump being a business tycoon will insist for result oriented approach, less non sense and more outcome. This will increase demand and challenges for PM community.

The elections should not affect the Project Management section. Just my own simple opinion.

I think it will negatively impact the Project Management profession in the USA, but increase it worldwide. As Akshay Jain said, Trump is a business man and always looking for cost effective options, and like most other decisions made, PM will be outsourced to other countries. With this being true, we will have to figure ways to maintain this within the country and produce impeccable results.

Now it is possible that it will remain unchanged with all the checks and balances within the government, but since the majority of the government is Republican, there is a sway towards changes.

With all the drama of bringing back jobs, I think offshore and outsources from other parts of the world will be limited inside the USA.

If it mean to stop outsourcing jobs, it could mean a need for more PM in the USA.
Or could it cut the scope of project to just inside USA.
Time will tell

I think there will be no change for Project Management Jobs and Projects in general even in your country. This event is a minor cause and its effect is minor too.

I say for that matter it can be any situation, a PM's primary role is to adapt - inspect - proceed. In this regards it is known-unknown risk, which the PMBOK has guidelines how to overcome. Trump in particular will bring in a business angle to the administration and may weigh in terms of P&L which will have its own thumbs up and thumbs down.
