Being manager for a project is a great mission like the mighty warrior who arrived to Earth from the space and goes on a mission to save the universe from the enemies,and must have a well built-in muscles and wide variety of skills in order to get the mission accomplished.

The mission of the project manager is to have the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.
Becoming a good project manager requires mastering a combination of specific skills. According to the Project Management Institute (PMI), there are three dimensions of project manager competency:
Knowledge – refers to what the Project Manager knows about project management.
Performance – refers to the ability of the Project Manager to apply their project management knowledge to accomplish the activities of a project .
Personal – refers to the behavioral aspect in leading a project including persons attitudes, character, and leadership style and the capacity to drive the project team in the right direction while realizing project objectives and handling the project constraints.

One of the essential duties for the project manager is to recognize any risks directly impacts the likelihood of success and that risk must be measured throughout the lifetime of a project.He should make sure of control risks and minimize uncertainty.

The roles and responsibilities of the project manager encompasses other numerous tasks including (e.g.):
Defining Scope,Resource Planning,Developing Schedules,Cost Estimating, Documentation, Creating Charts and Schedules,Risk Analysis,Monitoring and Reporting Progress,Team Leadership,Strategic Influencing,Working with vendors, Controlling Quality,Benefits Realization,..............etc.

Although the role of the project manager may change depending upon the size, type, and nature of the project, the elementary skills needed are universal and can be applied to any field.I will not be exaggerating if i say that the required skills from the project manager is too diverse to be enough for managing the whole world! the project manager should be:
Leader,Communicator,Optimistic,Change agent,Business Professional,Administer, Negotiator,Conciliator Planner ,Organizer Proactive, Problem Solver, Stress Tolerance, Technician ,Politician and many other skills.

By surveying more than 250 project management experts around the world about which is the most important skill required from the Project Manager,the majority answered that “ to be Communicator and Conductor” is the most critical skill for the project success.

Last but not least,to be good project managers must be a strong leader in many aspects and possess many diverse skills to effectively control the project ,take the complete charge of the project and accordingly they deserve to be as the masters of the universe

That vision is truly gained by my personal experience with project managers who do not know their pivotal role in the project
