Building a new Business Building
For those who have recently built a new Business School or are in the process, what pit falls do I need to watch for? We are in the early planning stages. We know what we need and will start working with the architects in the near future. What do I need to keep in mind? What are business schools doing differently in the new buildings? How is PhD student space being handled. Cubicles for collaboration or 3 students to an office? What type of technology is being used in classrooms, student study areas, etc... This is my first new building project. Any advise, suggestions or stories would be greatly appreciated. What are business schools doing differently in the new buildings?
Thanks Sten. Getting student to work together and collaborate across disciplines in tough and we hope to incorporate space into the new building to facilitate the collaboration. I would like to know what other pit falls did you encounter?
