“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands ... But seeing with new eyes.”
Seeing with New Eyes implies recognizing Waste that was not ‘seen’ before - at work, or everyday processes.
People are not ‘waste’ ... But they are often engaged in ‘wasteful’ activities.
Co-workers are often heard to complain about how there is so much to do. But many of their activities do not add value.
Identifying and eliminating non-value-Steps would help people spend more time on activities that add-value.
When ‘process-change' is mentioned, we hear: "if it's not broken, don't try and fix it" ... or ... "that's the way we have always done it."
Questioning and examining Processes enables improvement. Innovating - doing things differently, creatively and adding value will help people (and the organizations that they operate) See with New Eyes!
