Request you to elaborate on "You can claim 8 PDUs per cycle for working in project management"
Is this the meaning of one complete project 8 PDUs, if yes, whats the duration of the project

Thanks Rami, I have claimed 8 PDU in working as Project Manager, just want to clarify if this really falls under category of - GIVING BACK - 25 PDUs ?

Assuming PMI or PM/com will publish the article, but good advice Rami. Perhaps also product training material for aspiring PMP's Navdeep, in your work, or social circle, that should also count towards PDU's.

Your article needs of course to be published but not necessarily but PMI or PM.com. It can be published elsewhere.

Thanks Sante, just need a clarification, how will PMI check the authenticity of trainings given outside PM circle. What is the criteria for claiming the PDUs then ?

Regardless of the duration of the project or how many projects you do, if you work in project management, you can claim only 8 PDU's every 3 years (which is one cycle).

Yes they do. All of the following falls under giving back:

-Work as a Practitioner: Working in a profession related to your certification
-Create Content: Authoring books or articles, creating webinars
-Give a Presentation: Preparing for and speaking or presenting
-Share Knowledge: Serving as a moderator, SME, or mentor
-Volunteer: Volunteering without compensation

Navdeep -

In case PMI challenges any of your PDU submissions you can provide them evidence which in the case of training you've delivered might be a few slides from the deck you used or evidence of when it was scheduled.

Other opportunities to give back include:

* Volunteering with a PMI chapter or the Global Operations Center
* Delivering a webinar (the time spent creating the webinar and delivering it both count)

And yes, if you claim the 8 PDUs per three year cycle that falls under the giving back category.

Just be careful when delivering a webinar in this community.

By default, you will be registered to your own webinar, which triggers an automatic PDU for attending your webinar.

I had to have PMI reverse my attendance PDU so I could properly submit my webinar preparation and delivery PDUs.

I suspect this registration to your own webinar is done so you can be notified of comments.
