PMChallenge Questions on the site
Network:496

I am very fond of answering PMChallenge questions.
In fact, one of the prime reasons I log into this site is these questions only.
Really a great job done by the site admins!!
Cheers to them!!!

I have few queries regarding PMChallenge questions:
1. If you log in to the site & answer the questions, questions must not be repeated.
If repeated then:
a) only questions with wrong answers must be repeated.
b) Questions must not be repeated within short time(may be repeated after certain
number of questions attempted).
2. One is not able to keep record of how many answers s/he gave correctly & how
many total questions were attempted.
3. Which books(which edition) or standards are used as a reference for the questions &
answers in PMChallenge?

I hope my queries will contribute for the betterment of the site.
At the same time, I expect more innovative ideas will evolve discussing these queries.
Thanks in advance, anticipating quite satisfactory discussion!!

1. I noticed that questions may be repeated overtime, especially the ones the I answered wrong.
2. If you look under your project expertise tab on your profile you will see the number of questions you answered correctly by process type. There is no tracking of wrong answers.
3. I am not sure which edition it is using or how often the questions are updated. I did come across an Agile question the other day so I wonder if they are updating them currently.

Dhawal,

1- Some questions might be repeated especially if they were answered wrong the first time.
2- Those questions needs to be updated to follow the latest edition. As far as I know, it is on PMI's to do list if I am not mistaken.

Agree with Rami's response. And to echo Dinah, there does seem to be some new questions getting slipstreamed in.

I agree with my colleagues here.
Some questions are out dated, so it needs to be updated. I think It would be helpful if they update before the PMP exam based on PMBOK 6th edition.

There are still exams running that are based on 5th edition. I am actually using these questions for that exam.

I agree on the repetition of questions, sometimes repeated soon after answered incorrectly...it does not help when it repeats that soon. Feels like a 'cheat' actually.

I have noticed quite a number of questions on 6th edition and Agile. I am actually very encouraged to get myself copies of the new 6th edition/Agile bundle.

I anticipate that once the exams fully changes over to 6th edition, that all the questions will be revised accordingly.

For [3. Which books(which edition) or standards are used as a reference for the questions &
answers in PMChallenge?]

After you attempt each question and it tells you whether you're right or wrong, scroll down the page. The site gives a reference to the section of PMBOK 5, Headway, and JPACE where the question (and answer) can be reviewed.

It is not often wholly accurate for PMBOK 5 references from what I have observed.

Yes. I noticed some of the page references are off also but if I need to I search on the topic to find reference. Guess there's alot of updating to be done.

It is a great tool (once updated) to stay up to date with knowledge areas. But I think they should consider it in PDU. If you are answering 100 at least they should award 5 PDU

PM challenge questions are really good. I do like answering them as and when i get time. I wish i had explored this during my certification to get additional practice.

I agree with Dinah Young, Agile questions are coming in the PMChallenge but there was no explanation for right option. It keeps updating for 6th Edition
