PMI Members breakdown by country
Network:931

Greetings:

I would like to obtain some information on the PMI members population in these specific countries, for the purpose of benchmarking against no of PMI members in my country. This is to assist us to propose to our Govt to promote the industry and to reach the level of competency against the said countries below.

Singapore
United States of America
Canada
Indonesia

Or are there any links/site within PMI that I could refer to, for the above statistics?

I did not come accross any resource like this but there is a report on the PMI website, called Annual Report. You might find something there. There are some nice statistics but not exactly what you are looking for.

As per PMI Annual Report (2016) there are 740,000 PMP certified individuals (I think it has crossed 800,000 as of now), half of them are from United States and 1 in 6 is from China. More than 470,000 members from 207 countries and territories, served by 283 chartered and 12 potential chapters.

I'm sure by contacting PMI you may get that information. From your list I would guess USA was the majority.

PMI members specifically, or those with PMP? I remember having a thread last year on this topic for PMP breakdown.

If PMI do not answer your email, approach your chapter and ask officially to get this information for you

Nehru,

It is the type of simple question PMI should make available to all.

Those stats exist. I don't think that should be consider confidential.

PMI is the best source!

LOL Sorry Andrew. You know how it is early morning.

I am just curious as to how can we obtain such info from the PMI Registry like Stephane did.
