What provides that feeling of satisfaction at the end of the day?

Something happens during the day which gives that special feeling of accomplishment; whether it's facilitating a conversation which helps drive the project, creates a new awesome dashboard, hit a significant milestone which had significant challenges, had a great executive review, .....

At the risk of starting another coffee thread, I would have to say having a coffee while contemplating any and all positive outcomes for the day.

It is usually when I have helped some one.
Yesterday it was after I explained Risk Management to one of our project managers. I created a presentation explaining the basics of risk that we went through. Then we walked through the risk management template and the risk register.
At the end of an hour he understood the need for risk management and how the do it.
I felt satisfied that I was able to share this information with someone who was receptive to it.

Thanks, Dinah. Great story! I can relate to that kind of feeling. It is certainly rewarding to help someone get to a level of understanding they did not have before.
