Sara is certified in Program Management (MSP); Project Management Professional (PMP) and OPM3 Assessor/Consultant with the Project Management Institute (PMI). During her PMO leadership role, Verizon Wireless received the PMO of the Year Award in 2012 with outstanding recognition on how the PMO best practices drove 50% reduction on cycle time and improved business results. Sara holds degrees and certificates from Farleigh Dickenson University (summa cum laude), Stevens Institute/ George Washington University, and Universidad de la Costa en Colombia. She is also an International Professor of the Universidad del Norte, Rutgers University and William Paterson University. Published co-author of the Organizational Project Management, Linking Strategy and Projects.
Her experience includes; operations management, information systems, marketing, product development and business re-engineering in the telecommunication and hi-tech industries with well-known companies such as: Verizon, Intel, USB Financial Services, and AT&T Wireless Services.
Sara is a recognized industry expert who provided advice as PM leader in the 4th Edition AMA Handbook published this year on project, program and portfolio management and is an actively sought out key note speaker of topics in PMO Symposiums in Latin-American representing the Project Management Institute.
