Create Business Case
I am a lifelong mediator - by training and by vocation - which makes me able to bridge the expertise of the business stakeholders and those who need to understand the business need and impact.
Communication is key - and making sure that what is said is what is meant, and what is heard is what was intended is my forte.
Also, understanding how the business need aligns with the business goals is also critical to the process.

Plan Project
I have twenty years of experience planning projects. As I value people and their strengths and expertise, I am able to gather detailed information from the business and technical experts to ensure that the goals are clear. This makes planning more straight forward and results in a higher success rate.
I believe that the "doers" know best and are the ones most able to reveal to a project manager what the plan can look like.

Identify Training Needs
Knowing people's strengths is also about knowing when they need help. It is easy to see when someone needs training when you see energy is low, they are unmotivated and avoid doing the work. Once we see what the gaps are, we can leverage their strengths to motivate learning and change.
Control Project
Keeping the big picture in mind, understanding how the detailed pieces fit into and support that big picture, being able to adapt and adjust as needed to keep things moving forward are second only to keeping the project team engaged and motivated.
I am a great believer in balance in life, and also that we should look beyond titles and roles to strengths and skills to ensure the best project results.

Create Incentives for Teamwork
Motivation is where I love to focus. With a motivated team we can accomplish so much. Teamwork comes from understanding how our strengths align and conflict and then managing the use and energy of those strengths.

Revise Project Plan
I am adaptable, but most importantly, I am collaborative. In my experience there is usually a creative solution that only needs to be discovered.
By fostering a psychologically safe environment, I am able to create space for team members to shine - bringing forth innovative ideas and smart alternatives.
Playing to the strengths of the team makes obtaining approval for revisions easier as we are always evidence based and have clear justifications for change.
