In today's world the role of "Learning" in education has acquired great value and has become preferred mode as compared to "Teaching”. This emphasis on learning and its growth has been due to the preponderance of digital information and easy access to it. Technology has been enabler in this respect.

A project leader of a functional team, in late 2020, may encounter external stakeholders that may negatively affect aspirational guidelines that all PMs must strive to achieve. By nature of this type of organization, a PM has little or no formal power. How does a PM maintain the position of being fair, being factual with stakeholder raising conflict, defending himself/herself in a responsible manner, and respecting those stakeholders bringing negative (perceived or real) risks? In the process groups of initiation and executing, I plan to share also two to three examples from projects in the ASIC supply chain business experienced in the past (good, bad, ugly) in the in the initiation and execution areas.

By 2023, it is estimated that pharmaceutical sales will top $420 billion in the United States alone. Project management is the key to addressing the unique regulatory, compliance, and quality needs of the pharmaceutical industry. In this webinar, an up-scaling project - with the goal of increasing production efficiency - is presented in order to illustrate the complexity of integrating up to five quality gates within a project’s life cycle. The presenter will demonstrate how quality gates act as checkpoints to prevent bumpy project planning, execution, and close-out and thus increase odds for successful project delivery.

Every project is subject to constraints. This webinar will consider the constraints faced by one government agency, how they are generalizable to all government projects, the constraints imposed by government, and possible approaches to overcoming these constraints. If you work in government, or have an interest in government (surely everybody does!), this is the webinar for you.

Citizen developers are employees with little or no IT skills who create online applications and mobile apps using approved point-and-click app builder tools. According to Gartner's (an IT consulting firm) research, by 2025, over 70% of organizations will use citizen-developed applications. According to Mendix's (another IT consulting firm) 2021 survey of 2,025 IT professionals in six countries, in organizations that use no-code/low-code platforms, 56% of employees use citizen-developed apps. Thirty-three percent of organizations surveyed use citizen-developed apps for mission-critical operations. In addition, No-code/low-code projects reduce software application costs by 53% while delivering the applications 56% faster than traditional software projects.| Many citizen developers are skilled in business analysis, marketing, or business strategy. They have excellent critical thinking skills and analytical skills. However, citizen developers can be more effective if they acquire design thinking, agile project management, and product development/management, collaboration, customer education, and stakeholder management skills. My presentation will describe how to build a capabilities academy focused on essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes to help citizen developers create and deliver valuable no-code/low-code digital applications.

It isn't easy to make exact copies of even a simple product, but at least you begin that effort knowing what "done" looks like. Development introduces a special kind of challenge – you only learn what "done" looks like at the end. The critical path for execution becomes dependent upon the critical path for definition and vice versa. The development path can be thought of as a part "altitude" you wish to attain and part "distance" you must travel to get there. We'll use this powerful analogy to explore why development outcomes vary so widely, why Agile methods are essential, and to help you plot the optimum launch trajectory for any given effort.

Gantt Charts are a fine mechanism for planning projects that have well bounded activities with a clean start and end point, and with understood dependencies and sequences. But in the non-linear, sometimes chaotic world of Product Development, Gantt Charts can be inadequate, cumbersome, or even misleadingly inaccurate. In the session, we will explore an alternative using mechanism of Agile product development - a Backlog of value to deliver with estimations of size (effort) and a reality-based Burndown that shows a plan with visible assumptions. Together these mechanism provide an effective way to plan, track, and replan a complex Product Development effort.
