Turning ideas into apps is one of the key benefits of citizen development. We teamed up with Max Mirho from Entreprenerd who built a no-code app live in just over 1 hour. Even better, it was based on a submitted idea from our CD community! This was a great opportunity to see an idea turned into an app. We hope this event will inspire all our beginner Citizen Developers and show them how easy it is to use no-code to help solve problems.

The PM community has great models for how projects should work, and a wealth of good advice on how to make basically sound programs and portfolio management more effective. Unfortunately the business of selling PM effort is often in conflict with the profession of delivering PM services. We see this in the form of impossible deadlines, unrealistic promises, and estimates based on client budget rather than true cost of execution. In this session we’ll explain why this enormous problem continues to exist, show you how to assess the resulting risk on your own project / program / portfolio effort, and share proven strategies you can apply to minimize the impact. Every PM, regardless of experience or skill level, will benefit from this session.

Projects need a wide spectrum of conditions to be successful. Most project managers are aware of a number of basic things a project must have but are often not fully knowledgeable of everything needed to support a project functioning effectively. This seminar addresses the full gamut of project prerequisites necessary to support project success and provides examples of these conditions for different project types. The risks to projects when any of these prerequisites are not in place is discussed and guidance on how to ensure your projects have what is needed for success is a key part of the seminar. A checklist to assess the status of necessary project inputs and conditions during different project phases is included.
