Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a process in which test are written up-front. Typically these tests reflect the requirements and expectations of the stakeholders to the project, driving the creation of useful, valuable behavior. Sometimes, however, the requirement given is about something the system should not do, and must not do for a reason that is critical to the business we seek to serve. The question this presentation will address is this: How can you write a test about a behavior that the system must not do?
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to: Understand concepts associated with a principle-based and systemic view of project delivery; understand the project delivery landscape and associated delivery approaches; and how these concepts are being incorporated in the PMBOK(R) Guide-Seventh Edition
In this short presentation, we will address the different elements of the PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (CoEPC), see how they concretely can be applied in real situations and generate a discussion based on a real (anonymized) case study.
Lean-Agile Procurement (LAP) is a new and exciting simple approach for procurement. Imagine sourcing an ERP system in just four weeks by having three competitors cocreate their proposals simultaneously in the same room over two days. LAP is based on agile and lean principles and focuses on the business value and people involved. The results will surprise you! Lead time of sourcing a new partner is reduced to days. The approach solves the most important customer problems upfront to reduce risk. LAP strategies are part of the Disciplined Agile (DA) tool kit’s approach to Vendor Management because LAP represents the leading edge in partnering with vendor organizations.
Mark Lines provides an overview of how to guide true enterprise-wide agile transformations. Mark will include stories from the trenches of what worked, and lessons learned from using this approach with many clients around the world.
