The current model is challenging. We keep creating products that no one really needs that produce waste that nobody wants. If you work in a multi-project environment as a product developer, engineer, or R&D expert, then the notion of multi-teaming is probably familiar. Most likely, you have key people assigned to multiple projects at the same time. Planning and managing these resources efficiently is almost impossible. Key resources themselves are challenged with fragmented work, time pressure, lack of focus, ambiguity, a constantly changing environment and, above all, dissatisfied project managers. These skill groups serve several projects in a non-dedicated way. They switch from project to project based on demand. They’re between a rock and a hard place. In this webinar, Jan Willem will show you how resources should be managed in order to make multi-project environments successful.
Outages are planned shutdowns of plants for maintenance, including preventative maintenance and defects. Preventative maintenance works have pre-defined scope, a job plan and resource requirements built into a maintenance management system. The problematic area is corrective maintenance scope (i.e., defects). Defects often result in significant increase in outage scope, known as scope creep. Scope creep is a serious challenge that outage managers, outage engineers and planners face before and during an outage. In order for us to manage it, it is necessary to understand what scope creep is—and what its causes are. If the root causes are taken care of, the problem will be solved by itself! The webinar will discuss this in detail based on practical experience and will be followed by Q&A.
This Webinar defines and explains how Agile and Waterfall methodologies can be merged to complement each other. The lynchpin that makes the merger possible is the OKR (Objective and Key Results).
