A great deal of project and program management is focused on development, operations, and maintenance efforts. Looking at a Technical Readiness Scale (TRL) most projects fall into TRL 5-9, the more mature end of the scale. There is, however, portfolio, program and project management at the earlier TRLs that address early engineering (TRL 4/5), research (TRL 2/3), and fundamental science (TRL 1/2). There are significant differences in risk, personnel, stakeholder and other areas requiring management. This webinar takes a look at portfolio, program , and project management in these early TRLs in with the goal of eventual commercialization and movement of science to product or service.

If you scan the headlines you will see the word “resilience” just about everywhere. The concept is particularly true for project managers since there is little doubt that the last 2 years have been particularly challenging on many fronts. Not only must the projects survive, they must be adaptable and thrive. The growth of business transformation, perhaps accelerated by Covid19, appears to have a correlation to increased unethical business behavior. In this presentation, we demonstrate how to use ethical decision-making principles to make wise decisions.

For many consultants, a client engagement can feel like tiptoeing through a minefield. Especially early in engagements, with new clients, we might find ourselves in unknown territory, with few indicators of which way to go, and little, visible, client-side support. Some of us tread gently, hoping not to set anything (or anyone) off. Some of us charge around, proverbial bulls in china shops, with little regard for long term consequences of our actions as long as we deliver the results defined in the agreement. There must be better way to more effectively work towards results without feeling like you’re in a war zone. Relationship management matters and it starts before you even hit the ground. This webinar will explore how you can start your project off on the right foot and begin delivering value as a trusted advisor rather than a hired gun.

"There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened."
