Managing conflict is a critical competency for every leader and employee. Unfortunately, many people choose simply to ignore conflict and hope it goes away by itself, thinking that it’s not my call to resolve it. However, conflict is an essential part of growth, especially when there is a need to be innovative and creative, when deadlines are tight, and when the directions are unclear.

The expectations and responsibilities of a Business Analyst (BA) are extremely versatile and vary based on the type of project that is being completed. This session covers the similarities and differences of the BA role in each of the predictive, incremental, and iterative project approaches. Focus is placed on working in the virtual environment and driving value centric delivery. Borrowing the “Context Matters and Choice is Good” concept from Disciplined Agile, we explore how a BA analyzes the Context of the situation, defines an iteration goal of what is to be accomplished, and then selects the best approach to achieve that goal. This three step approach requires a large range of skills and knowledge that helps define a distinguished Business Analyst.
Project managers face two competing imperatives, 1) to be as fast and efficient as possible, and 2) to improve what you do and how you do it. The first one is about being on budget, on time and on target. The second one is about doing that better than you did it last time, perhaps radically better. In other words innovating the products you develop and the processes you use to do that. In this webinar you will learn a simple intuitive framework—a mindset—for thinking about your work, that enables that innovation. A switch that will make you and your team more adaptive, resilient and resourceful, as you enhance rather than compromise your efficiency.
