Use this comprehensive checklist to make sure all of your merger and acquisition dealings go smoothly.
Without concrete milestone and deliverables, project plans are too intangible to function as a reliable status indicator. The following list summarizes milestones and deliverables that apply to most software development projects.
How do you spell relief? Having a well-defined and understood leave policy is a good way to start.
Risk can have significant or disastrous impact on a project's success. But you've also heard that old adage, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." This presentation will help you identify and assess risks, then allocate resources towards risk resolution.
Underperformance is a common threat to megaproject managers and the track record of cost and time overruns in these projects is well documented. While front end planning is important, not all events and scenarios can be foreseen when the project can take several years to complete and may involve many companies and stakeholders. In our research we find that the capacity to adapt to this uncertainty during the life of the project is crucial for megaproject performance but it is often overlooked as a capability.
It is in the organization's interest to make the vendor relationship work. Use this presentation in conjunction with the Contract Preparation and Service Delivery presentations.
To formalize requirements, have one repository where you document requirements. This authoritative resource is maintained by the core team and can vary from a spreadsheet, such as this sample template, to sophisticated requirements tracking applications. Regardless of the tool used, all parties must know that there is one authoritative list and if a perceived requirement is not on the list, then it is not being addressed.
The template is a detailed IT Resource Master Plan that includes the labor resources required to produce the project deliverable. The Resource Master Plan can be a living document that is actively maintained and managed throughout the life of an IT project. This also contains the Resource Ramp-up Chart to help plan project teamwork effort burn rates (and analyze their burn-rate forecast).
Use this template to monitor and control the procurement cycle of materials during a project. It helps you track procurements by comparing planned activity dates with actual activity dates, allowing you to forecast/adjust progress.
The design of governance systems of collaborative relationships should aim for resolving institutional complexity, which further improves organizational resilience for IOPs. By adopting a sequential qualitative-quantitative approach, we conduct research based on empirical evidence to address the issue of resilience of IOPs under institutional complexities. Consequently, this research broadens the perspectives of earlier studies by proposing a shift from focusing on operational conflicts to institutional conflicts and has identified a dynamic stakeholder engagement strategy toward improved resilience. This novel perspective is better aligned with practical reality and provides a comprehensive theoretical framework of governance for improved resilience in the face of institutional complexity.
