myProjectManagementOffice has 5 key areas: 

Configuration – set up the PMO specific configurations based on project management methodology used within your organization
Portfolio Management – once a Business Case is approved by the governance model, individuals with Portfolio Manager authorization adds the project to the portfolio [unique Project Identification], assigns Project Manager, identifies strategic focus, sets dashboard priority.
Project Requirements Management – once the project is in the portfolio, this function captures all information needed to produce the charter/scope statement: purpose, justification, milestones, stakeholders/sponsors, objective, deliverables, completion criteria, dependencies, assumptions, specifics on project management approach/plan and reference links to other project related documentation [eg: the approved business case]
Project Execution Management – this area is used by the PM to keep control over the project: periodic status reporting [includes stoplight indicator for: scope, schedule, cost and quality], accomplishments, planned work for upcoming period, issues, risks [includes risk ranking and stoplight indication based on risk score], project action items, milestone updates, lessons learned, change requests [including primary impact area].
Project Analytics – dynamic reporting engine [slice/dice the portfolio with 10 canned report formats] and dashboard report to be used for executive reviews.
