Project Management

MSP_LEVELING eases the burden of Project Managers
who generate and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project.

MSP_LEVELING is a two-in-one product:
  1.   Schedule Quality Checking
  2.  Automatic Resource work-hour Leveling

Resource Leveling is best suited for computers to perform because the
inherent complexity of doing it manually is very time consuming.

MSP_LEVELING'S Advanced Capabilities include:

1)       Schedule QUALITY Inspection

2)       Weekly % TARGETS (input form) --  The Project Manager defines
the Max % Allowed for any Resource, for any Week in the Project.

3)       HEAT Maps -- Color coded reports that Identify which resources are
Over-Allocated versus your Weekly % Targets.

4)       Improvement Diagnostic-- A Pre-Level Heat Map that supports your ability to minimize Leveling Delays before you Level.

5)       Automatic Leveling -- Ensures that resource work-hours do not exceed your (inputted) Weekly % Targets.
Uses 'Gantt-visible' leveling delay methodology (no confusion).

6)       Scenario Capture Capability -- ability to capture key information
that can be reviewed with management for approvals

Is MSP_LEVELING for you?
Approximately 90-95% of Project Managers will find that MSP_LEVELING fits their needs.
MSP_LEVELING’s capacities are as follows:

1)       Week-by-Week Leveling
The vast majority of users want to level Week-by-Week.

2)       1000 tasks maximum per project
The vast majority of projects have less than 1000 tasks.
Larger projects can be  accommodated simply by
.breaking the project into subprojects and creating a Master File.

3)       250 Resources maximum per project

4)       MS Project's Standard Schedule -- used for leveling

5)        Paste-links are not allowed
Paste-links can be translated into predecessors.
Not a problem -- unless  Hammock Tasks are required.

6)       Task calendars and Resources calendars are not used
MSP-LEVELING provides an alternative (better) method of defining Task
and Resource availability via its Weekly % Availability input Form.

"Nearly every great advance in science arises from a crisis in the old theory, through an endeavor to find a way out of the difficulties created. We must examine old ideas, old theories, although they belong to the past, for this is the only way to understand the importance of the new ones and the extent of their validity."

- Albert Einstein
