The program attempts to integrate the PMI methogology with concepts and standards related to IS and IT. It is useful for both insourcing and outsourcing/procurement.
Integration Management also addresses System Engineering. Scope Management is inter-linked with Requirements Management and Software Configuration Management. Time and Cost Management are blended with various software estimation techniques (Lines Of Code, Function Point, Process Based Estimation, COCOMO). The Quality Management also addresses the SW-CMM Standard, SW Quality factors and Formal Technical Reviews (FTR). Risk Management also refers to software related risk factors. Procurement Management also covers the SA-CMM standard and World Band Procurement guidelines (with specific reference to IT).
Currently, MS Project is used as PM tool (which may be replaced by any other tool, if needed).
