The Daily Scrum is a 15-minute time-boxed meeting held every day at the same location and is intended for the Development Team. At this meeting, the Development Team plans work for the next 24 hours.

The Development Team evaluates progress toward the Sprint Goal and how progress is going on the items within the Sprint Backlog.

The Scrum Master ensures that the meeting place, but it is the Development Team who is responsible for holding the meeting. The Development Team may ask the Scrum Master to facilitate the meeting.

Three basic questions are asked during the Scrum meeting, although these are not mandatory:

  1. What did I do yesterday that helped the Development Team meet the Sprint Goal?
  2. What will I do today to help the Development Team meet the Sprint Goal?
  3. Do I see any impediment that prevents me or the Development Team from meeting the Sprint Goal?
