We’re thrilled to continue this series with a Q&A with Naomi Nordeen, student project manager for her F1 in Schools North America team from Pennsylvania.
Motorsport and project management have more in common than you might think. Both rely on core principles like teamwork, precision and strategic planning—skills that partnerships like PMI Educational Foundation (PMIEF) and F1 in Schools aim to instill in the next generation.
Operating in over 26,000 schools across 64 countries, F1 in Schools inspires and nurtures future innovators through a STEM-based competition, where students design, manufacture and race miniature Formula 1 cars.
The partnership with PMIEF helps participating students become well-versed in project management throughout the process, showing not only the technical benefits but the power skills—such as collaboration, communication and leadership—gained along the way to be successful in any field.
