A Day in the Life…of an AI Elf
I’m always slightly surprised that I still get invited back to the North Pole by Santa every year so that I can update the good people at ProjectManagement.com on what’s happening. I thought he would have been fed up with me by now; I’ve never had any other client who could put up with me for this many years.
Maybe it’s the once-a-year thing, or maybe it’s just that he likes project managers. Regardless, I am happy to report that he is still his normal jovial self, albeit that the naughty list still seems to be getting longer (I don’t think that there are many politicians anywhere in the world that aren’t on the list these days).
Anyway, Santa greeted me on arrival with his usual “Ho ho ho,” and gave me an update on some of the improvements that they had made during the year. Some upgraded blast chillers to try and offset the impact of climate change on his home, and AI-enabled route planning for his trip this year to try and reduce the amount of oats needed for the reindeer.
Less sleigh storage space needed for oats means more room for gifts, so that has to be a good thing. It also helps to reduce the reindeer emissions, if you follow my drift (sorry Mrs. Jones in Topeka, you may not get as much fertilizer for the garden this year).
But Santa’s proudest development this year was the AI-controlled
