It’s Valentine’s Day and love is in the air! And, it got me thinking—project management and love might have more in common than you might think! (Hear me out!)

Both require clear goals, strong communication, and a little bit of flexibility to navigate unexpected changes. Just like a well-run project, a great relationship thrives when expectations are aligned, risks are managed, and milestones are celebrated along the way.

In the world of project management, scope creep is something we usually try to avoid—but what if falling in scope is exactly what leads to success? Or expanding beyond traditional metrics like scope, budget and schedule for a broader perspective? When teams collaborate with trust, manage perceptions and expectations, adapt to evolving needs, stay focused on shared objectives, projects don’t just meet expectations—they achieve Project Success. (Which just so happens to be this month’s theme 😊)

This Valentine’s season, we’re celebrating the love that goes into every successful project.
