The Completely AI Agile Project?

Hear me out: There will be an opportunity in the reasonably near future for a project to be initiated, defined and delivered completely by artificial intelligence. No direct human involvement in the work. I still see humans being involved in oversight, and of course they will be defining the parameters, but I see all agile team and customer functions being performed by AI.

Now, before you all think that I am suggesting that we won’t need people to do the work anymore, let me provide a bit more context.

I wouldn’t trust AI to own a project that was going anywhere near production. I can see AI team members developing code under the supervision and review of humans. I can also see AI contributing to the process of defining and prioritizing requirements based on analysis of the environment the solution would be used in, but that’s it.

However, there are an increasing number of innovation and research projects where there are opportunities to be a bit braver with AI use.

Consider this example: A company wants to launch a new software product. It knows the market niche that it believes exists, and that gives it the broad parameters for the application. But the company hasn’t figured out the detailed features, nor the best approach to develop it. It also isn’t completely sure what the customer reception would be. What does the company do?
