Upper management in the company I work for wants all of the project managers in the PMO to learn how to use AI. They are convinced that it will lead to every project being completed on time, within budget, and providing the scope that was originally projected. Can AI truly replace live people leading projects?
A. AI is very concerning! Most of us have seen movies using versions of it, such as Hal, the computer in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Be very afraid!.
B. Without knowing it, AI has already become a huge part of our lives. There are different applications for it we use on a daily basis without knowing that’s what we are using. However, humans still have capabilities that are not fully replaceable. Perhaps learn more about AI and see what applications it could have that would reduce stress, time, or risk—and sort out which parts of the project still demand the hands-on approach of a live human being. That is where we should focus our careers..
C. Our lives would be much more difficult without AI. We are not aware that it is already behind many day-to-day services we rely on. As a project manager rolling out AI in a corporation, the secret is to disguise/rename the computer functionality that we are using so that employees
