Not everyone on the interview team will play an important role in your performance once you land the job. But how you interact with them on the interview will definitely affect whether you land the job. Now, am I telling you to just put on your happy face and stick to your goal of making your best impression regardless of what inane thing this person may do or say? In a word, yes. Learn your "triggers" and you will not only increase your chance of landing the job, but also walk away with a better understanding of yourself.

The short version: Always keep check on your own feelings throughout the interview process. A good way to learn what your "triggers" are (behavior, questions or lack thereof) is to review each interview as candidly as possible. It is important that you always review the interview you just completed in order to learn from the process. One of the tricks to this is to not only make notes during the interview itself, but also to review what just was asked and how you answered/interacted with the interviewer. This review process can ensure that you will make progress in your future interviews instead of being stuck on a treadmill, taking the same steps and potentially making the same mistakes over and over again.
