State Facts, But Connect with Feelings
Professional speakers try to remember that people have two ears, representing two components of every message: facts and feelings. The facts are convincing, but by themselves they are sterile and may not motivate your audience to action.

To inspire, to "connect," to make a lasting impression, you have to touch the emotions. Show that you understand what your audience is going through by mentioning specific emotions in your message.
