Almost every Web site has a way for you to communicate virtually with others.  Forums, chat rooms, discussion threads, call them what you will--in an online community (like gantthead), communication is key.  On gantthead there are hundreds, (okay, 68) discussions that cover the gamut of project management topics.  With the community of project managers as large as gantthead, over 50,000 and growing strong, there is a wealth of knowledge and expertise at your fingertips.  Discussions can be used many ways, whether it be to throw around some ideas for feedback or to ask a question of a project manager who’s been in the business for 25 years, it’s available to you.  

For instance, take a look at  “Board  Room:  Money Matters and Business Models” in the E-Commerce department. Here is a chance to chat and learn about being profitable while doing business online. This is a topic that is worth talking about, especially now, when online companies are flailing or failing.  Perhaps e-Toys or Pets.com could have used this to their advantage. May they rest in peace.
