Take Control: Show Content Who's Boss

Content is king. You look wearily at these three seemingly harmless words as you try to digest the latest order passed down from the suits up above:    

"We need to improve our rate of customer retention on our web site and support our e-commerce efforts by providing a richer editorial experience, so I want you to provide fresh and customized editorial content for all our 15 channels and start publishing fresh content on a daily basis. Yeah, it would be nice if we could localize all our articles into five languages. Also, three of our branch offices in Europe are going to launch web sites with three different HTML layouts, so I need you to publish our existing content to these new layouts."

Your boss continues, "I just heard from the Chief Marketing Officer that she is considering redesigning the look and feel of our current web site, so once you’ve delivered the upcoming release of the site, I want you to start thinking about redesigning ALL the pages into the new graphical layout."  

Houston, we have a problem!
